Congrats on your new family members and may the Almighty Creator bless them all! Finished and enjoyed your book, it blessed me with powerful insight and painted a beautiful picture of your desire to share your love of the wild....creation....just like my namesake did. You asked to share some of my wildness, there are many moments, but at the core is the desire for Freedom. It is such a wonderful gift that cuts to the true inner unique self of pure humanity that makes us crave being close to creation and the Creator. Your words certainly embrace this desire and lift it up for others to see, feel, smell and taste. Thank you for sharing your words and life-road with us.
To me the wildness comes in the experience of unconditional LOVE, my true nature. Circumstances have no power over that LOVE that is my essence, your essence, the essence within each of us. Nothing is impossible when addressed by the power of unconditional LOVE. Seeing you soaring in your tiny home, nurturing your wildness with nature!
I love how physical space overlaps with what we are experiencing, you can see your claiming of your inner space in this piece. We can love people deeply and still celebrate and prioritise our separateness. Maybe we are only capable of loving others fully when we carve this out for ourselves. Ryan sounded like a beautiful person. I'm sorry you lost him. And happy for all the new babies you get to enjoy and watch grow. May your tiny cottage be everything you dream and more!
Martina! You have no idea how much I needed to hear this. Yes. We can love people deeply and still celebrate and prioritize our separateness. Maybe we are only capable of loving others fully when we carve this out for ourselves. Thank you for your wisdom!
Excited for you and your tiny, tiny cottage in the woods building project, Michelle. Looking forward to following your progress. And I could go down the rabbit hole of van life videos on YouTube for a very long time. Most of all, love and good wishes for your growing family. I'm a twin, myself. May you all be blessed.
Wowza! Tiny cottage in the woods calls to the 8 year old in me who loved to build forts and the 10 year old who turned our old stinky chicken coop into the Pink Ladies Club. My wild space as a 50 year old is my enclosed porch where all of my artsy accoutrements hang out together. My bullseye is where my interests converge: art, people, the land, anything cross-cultural, justice-oriented, or community-creating. I'm always looking for the next nexus of those passions. Looking forward to following your tiny cottage escapade!
I love the convergences of your creativity and how they circle around a bulleye that is you :) Thank you for the support! I feel like my 8 year old self awoke from a decades-long dream and can do what she wants now. I can't wait to show you the new digs!
I wish I had a clear answer on my bullseye; when I married I thought I had found it. At present I find myself foraging for a personal bullseye: truth, beauty, connection, wildness.
Increasingly I seem to find my wildness when I disengage from the day-to-day to find stillness. And I celebrate that with trying to capture a photo of the beauty that is around us but we never see. But I have to protect those moments less they get subsumed by the the cacophony that surround us
A tiny house in the woods - perfect! That sounds to me a wonderful way to be wild and find belonging in nature. Thank you for bringing us along with you as this project takes root!
Uh, yes please! ✋I think and dream about this often. “I could live in a tiny structure in the woods by a stream.” Count me in for this adventure and good for you! 🙌

Tess! How sweet! You're a twin too! This makes me happy. And yes, the van life is the most incredible journey to watch!
Especially when it includes a dog!

The cacophony that surrounds us. I wonder if you can make music out of that?
