it's so easy not to accept the genuine gifts those who love us offer, whether we don't think we're worthy, or just uncomfortable with the vulnerability of having needs

So well said. And something I struggle with

Thank you for the how-to. And that book cover is killer. I'm so glad you've told us about it. I'm going to find it.

Oh, that’s wonderful. You and @Lisa Olivera have many values and much wisdom in common.

Embracing the fallow...this is a tough one. So much of our culture and life in this country is about production and using every moment. I feel guilty to take an actual lunch break at work, but I have been trying to be more intentional by putting the phone down, watching the birds, listening to the noises around me, and just being...rather than doing. It's amazing how refreshing this is in the middle of a day. I appreciate the permission and encouragement to rest, be quiet, and hold space.

“Welcome the fallow” is a good reminder that I do not have to productive every waking moment. Sunrises, sunsets, a relaxed ride, music from a vinyl, taking a breath, birdsong are so restorative

Yes! There are so many ways we can let the land of our body rest and compost production to be ready for the next activity burst.
